Taking time to stop and notice the little things in life and to find pleasure in them.

Bramble leaves covered in frost.
Frosted brambles with the river beyond

A plant on the ground with a covering of frost
I'm not sure what kind of plant this is, but it was very flat to the ground and looked lovely with its dusting of frost.

A wisp of lichen attached to the bare branch of a tree
I love the way these little bits of lichen can be found on trees, like wisps of cotton wool caught in the branches.

January is always a long, cold month, but you can still find beauty in it, and the hard plants that pop up are a reminder that spring is on its way.

Feel free to share with me your favourite moments of January.
